Reiki is an ancient form of energy balancing and stress relief retooled for the modern world. It promotes relaxation and deep healing. Reiki is practiced with the client lying fully clothed while the therapist lightly places her hands both on and above the body. A Reiki session helps ease tension and stress and supports the body to facilitate healing on all levels – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual

Reiki supports our body when we are going through physical difficulties, helps us release stress and anxiety, and promotes better sleep and relaxation. It helps to alleviate emotional pain and suffering and to integrate our mind, body and spirit.

Reiki is used in hospitals and clinics around the country. The National Institute of Health is sponsoring major studies on the effectiveness of Reiki on conditions such as fibromyalgia, cancer, diabetes and AIDS.

Types of Reiki available at Ananda (please note, these energies are usually combined in any single session to give you the effect of all of them working together).
Usui Reiki
This is the original, traditional form of Reiki, created and developed in Japan at the turn of the last century. It is the foundation for every other type of Reiki available today.
Usui Reiki supports physical healing and expands spiritual growth. It is particularly useful for the following conditions:

Lightarian Reiki
Lightarian Reiki is the most powerful healing energy available in the Reiki system at this time. Through a Lightarian Session you will be attuned and connected with Ascended Masters, a group of beings who have lived through human lifetimes, achieved enlightenment and now work to help the rest of us on our path.
Lightarian Reiki will accelerate your spiritual growth. The purpose of a Lightarian session is to raise your vibrational level to support as us we transition through these spiritually challenging times.
Simply put, to raise your vibrational level means to increase the amount of Divine Love you are capable of accessing, so lower level feelings have less room to exist. Sekhem-Seichim Reiki (SSR)
SSR is an Egyptian based healing system that incorporates the healing energy of three separate energy systems: Sekhem, the Egyptian version of all encompassing life force energy, Seichim, living light energy and an ancient Egyptian system of healing wisdom, and Reiki.
SSR is a healing matrix that is a unique integration of these three related, yet distinct, multidimensional energies. Sekhem, Seichim and Reiki work together as a unified trinity of sacred healing energies to completely balance and harmonize a person's physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. This expands the individual's capacity to carry more light and love and anchors and grounds the essential life force within his or her energy system.

Learning Reiki

Reiki is easy to learn and use for yourself and your family, to help with stress reduction and general good health. You don't have to want to practice Reiki professionally to benefit from learning Level 1. I give Reiki to my kids almost every night and use it on myself all the time, at times as varied as an aid to meditation to when I'm watching TV. It works so I use it.

Chakra Balancing

According to ancient Hindu philosophy, reconfirmed through contemporary epigenetic science, our bodies have seven major vortexes through which we process our life force energy (sometimes known as ki, or chi).  A block in any of these power centers can create unbalance, disease, or an overwhelming sense of tiredness and feeling “stuck.”  This session identifies any blocks in the chakras, opens them up and reconnects your energy body.  Follow-up recommendations to keep your energy center strengthened included.

Reconnective Healing

 Reconnective Healing utilizes a new bandwidth of healing frequencies to allow for the healing of the body, mind and spirit.  It promotes deep healing on the physical, mental and emotional levels and as such is as useful for relieving the intensity of a long lasting headache as it is for releasing stuck emotions after a painful breakup.

Often suggested for jump starting a new path or getting 'unstuck,' The Reconnection brings in and activates new axiatonal (meridian) lines in our energy body, allowing for the exhange of light and information, the reconnection of DNA strands and the reintegration of our abilities to live and interact inter-dimensionally.   Originally, the meridian lines on our bodies were connected to the grid lines that encircle the planet. These lines were designed to continue out and connect us to a vastly larger grid, tying us to the entire universe. Somehow over time we became disconnected from these lines. The Reconnection hooks you back up. It is a two day process: one session the first day, a second one the following day.
